Hats have been sent home for a wash. Please return them to school the first day of Term 2.
Congratulations on finishing your very first term at Primary School. We are very proud of the students' achievements and are looking forward to a productive Term 2. Have a safe, happy and restful holiday and we'll see you all on Monday 11th April.
Hats have been sent home for a wash. Please return them to school the first day of Term 2. As part of our letter and sound study, the Founders made 'popping popcorn' and watched a short clip of 'Postman Pat'.
We also make glasses using pipe cleaners. A great fine motor activity for the children. It was a little tricky so some, but we were very proud of their perseverance. We have begun a wonderful new program in Foundation this year called iTime (based on Walker Learning). Your child may have been telling you about it at home. We will be giving you a detailed explanation of iTime at our Parent Information Evening. This date will be announced soon. In the meantime, please take some time to look at display in the windows of the classroom next to FM. This shows you some of the amazing things we have done so far.
What a wonderful week we've had! This week we have been learning about the letters "W" and "F". Tuesday was the perfect weather for feasting on watermelon. It was very tricky to guess what the heavy round thing was in Mrs Pettolino's bag, and some children showed us how strong they were by lifting it up! We loved eating watermelon together.
Next week, our letters will be "D" and "O", and we will be investigating the number 5. The PFA are selling icy poles, just for this upcoming Tuesday. After the Family Fun Night, there were many icy poles left over. So if you would like one, please send $1 along to school on MONDAY.
Students are NOT required at school next Wednesday 9th March.
Founders start full-time the following week, after the Labour Day public holiday. Apologies for the confusion! |
