Our very patient Art teacher Ms Sumner is having little mini stress attacks watching the Foundation children using scissors in her room!
Please help her out by reinforcing what we teach at school about handling scissors: Hold them safely while walking or passing them to others, by holding the blade ends (shut) and passing the handle ends to others. Keep your fingers of the other hand away from the scissors when you are cutting paper. Never wave scissors around! We have become aware of more children engaging in play fighting at school in the playground lately. Foundation children are discouraged from play fighting as it usually goes too far and ends in tears. Please talk to your child at home about choosing different games to play at school.
