To celebrate Book Week all of our gorgeous students have come dressed up as their favourite book characters. We have had so much fun! We love reading books in Foundation. We had a lovely time reading with our Grade 5 buddies in the afternoon.
Have a look at how great the Founders looked in the colours of their country they were representing! We all had a fun day and showed amazing teamwork and great sportsmanship.
FOUNDATION AND GRADE 5 BUDDY PROGRAM The Founders along with their buddies are participating in the Heart Foundation Jump Rope for Heart program and we would love your support! Over the next few weeks, your child will be learning a range of fun skipping skills and new tricks. This is a great program and encourages children to get involved in our community and support Australia’s leading heart health charity, the Heart Foundation. The Jump Rope team provides us with lots of resources and support to implement the program and in return we ask that students help by seeking sponsorship for their involvement. Please support us by sponsoring your child.
At the end of the program we will be holding a Jump Off, so please encourage your child to practise skipping at home if they own a skipping rope. This will be held on Tuesday 13th September. Thank you in advance for your support. This week the Foundation students celebrated 100 days of school. Everybody looked fantastic dressed up as grandmas and grandpas. We had students with walking sticks, white hair, wrinkles, and wearing shawls, hats and pearls. Many of the days activities featured around the number 100. All students created their own counting mat with 100 objects. We counted forwards and backwards to 100 and even tried counting by 5's to 100. We rolled dice and recorded how many turns it would take to reach 100 and finished off by creating self portraits of what we may look like when we turn 100 years old. It was and exciting milestone and a day of fun and excitement. Check out the gallery with some of our photos below!
